This is a great opportunity for a motivated and proactive person to join our HR team based at Rhodes. This role would suit someone who has completed relevant tertiary qualifications and has 2 to 5 years post uni experience in either a generalist HR or L&D role. This role may also suit someone part time - min of three days per week.

This role will support the HR Manager and be responsible for organising the national training calendar, coordinating training logistics, maintaining training records, reporting, evaluating programs and research for new programs. Some facilitation and basic design experience is a bonus but not a requirement. These are potential development areas for the successful applicant. This role would also need to be flexible and involved in other HR project work such as the Australand Foundation.

Construction Supervisor

A fantastic opportunity exists for a high performing Construction Supervisor to join our Residential team in NSW. The Construction Supervisor is responsible for implementing and administering efficient and effective building management strategies that will assist in the Business unit meeting its key objectives of reaching the required by the sales targets, completing the development on time and on budget building at the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to Occupational Health & Safety, trade management, construction cost control, construction planning, programming, and building quality.

The successful candidate will be experienced with high volume residential construction projects, with a trade qualification and proven experience in the delivery of projects on time and budget. Good knowledge in occupational health and safety procedures is essential as is good organisation and time management skills.

This role involves every aspect of IT support for Australand staff, including:

  • Answering IT support calls
  • Call logging and tracking and keeping customers informed

    Construction Manager

    Australand is looking for a Construction Manager to join the QLD Residential Housing division. You will be working in a team to implement and administer efficient and effective building management strategies.

    The role will include but not limited to
    •Maintaining a safe work place and ensuring staff are kept up to date with changing responsibilities, legislation and obligations
    •Ensuring building construction is completed in accordance with the project plan and program
    •Preparing overview reports to State Housing Manager as required
    •Providing support and direction and supplier/trade allocation based on time, quality and cost
    •Exploring emerging design/environmental/product development issues that may in future either impact the business unit or provide a possible competitive advantage
    •Ensuring all customer service activities relating to communication, inspections, settlements and maintenance are carried out in effective, timely and professional manner

    The successful candidate will have extensive past experience in housing construction and the property industry, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, possess high levels of interpersonal skills, have experience in Line Management and Budget responsibilities and be willing to participate in process improvement.

    Australand is looking for a Contracts Administrator to join our Residential division.

    This role involves working in a project team to deliver construction projects. The Contracts Administrator will be responsible for Budgets, Contract Letting, Tender, Document Control, Sub-contract claims, Variations and Occupational Health and Safety. This role is also involved in project design and documentation as well as safety and time management.

    The successful candidate will have

  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction related area
  • Close to 4 years experience as a Contracts Administrator in a construction company
  • The ability to review/assess subcontract claims and variations, skills to negotiate and prepare trade contracts, estimate and schedule various elements from drawings

  • They will also be highly organised, a team worker and strong communications skills
